Wrath of the Righteous is finally all available in OCTGN, and the last two chapters have some really fun, crazy mechanics in them! I don’t want to spoil anything, but you’ll find a fun bonus at the very end of the last chapter…
One major recent update was the addition of the ability to build a new location. You can now right-click on the board, choose “Build Location”, then type in the name of the location, and it will be built (without any associated villain or henchmen.. you’ve got to go get those manually!) If you type the name incorrectly, you’ll get an error, nothing will be built, and you can try again. Please let me know if you see any issues with this new functionality!
Now that this is all in there, and we’ve got a few months to wait for Mummy’s Mask, I’m going to try to get more of the Class Deck information added in, as well as more Organized Play scenarios. Please let me know if you find any errors in the normal adventure path, though, so that I can get those fixed!
I’ve successfully added the Chapter 4 cards to OCTGN! All of the scenarios should work correctly.
I’ve also fixed the Promo scenario “The Land of the Blind” so that it correctly deals with the Gholdako henchmen. To win the scenario, you have to find all six Gholdakos and set them out on the table anywhere (don’t put them in one of the current card piles!) Then, at the beginning of the next turn, the game will count the Gholdakos on the board and if there are six, you win!
Finally, there are also now decks available for both Ekkie, the promo goblin character, and Arueshalae, the new character found in chapter 3. Arueshalae’s deck is not complete at all, so you’ll need to go into the Deck Editor and add cards to her deck before you actually use her.

Tonight I am adding adventure deck 2 “Sword of Valor” along with several new features. These include a new deck called the Support deck. If you want to keep track of the cards you’ve redeemed, as well as the new Troops mechanic, you’ll want to load the new deck called “Box-Support” the first time you play the game. It will be saved as “Support-saved.o8d” when you save the box. You’ll then want to update it each time you redeem a new card or when you gain a medal on a troop card by adding the corresponding Feat to your Support-saved.o8d deck using the deck editor.
I would give more details but it’s midnight here and I’m very sleepy. I’ll do another post tomorrow with some more info!
I’ve finished scripting Wrath of the Righteous sets B and 1, and they’ve now been pushed live! There are several other updates in this version as well:
-The Skull & Shackles promo scenario from the “Make Right pack”, called “Island of Empty Eyes” now works properly, moving Gholdako henchmen from the blessings discard pile into a random open location when they pop up.
-There is now a d20 in the game! You can add it by right-clicking on a card and choosing it under “Add Dice” or by using the keyboard shortcut “Alt-F10” (and similarly you can remove d20s by hitting “Alt-Shift-F10”)
-Mythic Charges are live as well! These become available when you add a Mythic Path card to your character deck, which will automatically be populated with a number of mythic charges equal to the adventure deck number when you load a scenario. You can then right-click on your Mythic Path card and choose “Add Mythic Charge” or “Remove Mythic Charge” during the game.
-Cohorts are another new addition with this update. Character-based cohorts like Balazar’s eidolon Padrig are automatically loaded and added to your starting hand. Scenario-based cohorts like the Tirabade sisters are dropped onto the board at the start of the scenario, and can be drug into your starting hand from there. Make sure that each player takes a maximum of one scenario-based cohort, and send the rest of them back to the box! All cohorts are also automatically removed from your character deck during the scenario cleanup step. There’s also a rule in the Wrath rulebook that if a cohort is ever banished during play, they go away forever… I haven’t implemented that because it just doesn’t sound fun to me at all… can you imagine if Padrig got banished forever? Balazar would be utterly destroyed!
-All of the characters which have associated promo cards from the Iconic Heroes miniatures line now start with those cards in their starter decks. For example, Balazar starts with the “Splendiferous Hat”, which is a really cool Ally card. (Yes, a hat that’s an Ally. Who’da thunk it?) Those cards are also available as a deck that you can load into your game, called “Iconic Heroes Promos”. If you don’t want to use these cards, just edit your character deck in the deck editor and stick a card of the same type with the Basic trait in there instead.

The Wrath of the Righteous Base Set and Adventure pack 1 have been released, and the cards are really awesome! I’m working diligently to get the new set scripted into OCTGN, and I think it’ll be about another week before it’s all ready to roll out. The biggest question mark right now is how I’m going to handle the mythic charges… if someone has suggestions on how they’d like to see them handled, I’d be happy to consider them. Would you rather have mythic charges be attached to your mythic path card and just be a number, or would you want to see physical counters show up on the card? The first would be easy, the second would need a bit more work. It’s possible I could implement them the first way right away and work on getting them implemented as physical counters afterward.
Anyway, give me about another week and you should be able to play some Wrath!
Today I pushed an update that fixes a few relatively small issues. I’ve also started scripting in anticipation of the Wrath of the Righteous base set, due out next month!
The final chapter in the swashbuckling Skull and Shackles adventure path is now available to be played on OCTGN! This adventure is the final hurrah for your pirate characters, so make sure to enjoy every second of it!
However, if you want more fun on the high seas, I also added the promo scenario “The Land of the Blind”! (Access it by choosing “None” for Adventure Path and “None” for Adventure when choosing a scenario) You can play this scenario anytime after you’ve played through chapter 3 of Skull & Shackles.
Oh! I almost forgot, we’ve also figured out and fixed the card size issue, so cards should now show on the board in their correct size/orientation.

You should now have access to Adventure 5: The Price of Infamy. Sorry this one took so long to get out, I’ve had a busy couple months and will continue to have busy months in the near future.
Luckily, I’ve almost got Adventure 6 ready to push live as well, so that should happen in the next week or so.
Also, a recent update to OCTGN has caused all cards to display in an awkward portrait orientation (stretching and shrinking landscape scans). I am working on this issue (it will involve some tweaking that I don’t know how to do as of yet, but I’m learning, I promise!) Hopefully I’ll have this fixed for the Adventure 6 update.
I’ve updated OCTGN with Adventure 4 card text and scenario powers, and I must say… a few of these scenarios are just crazy fun. There are a few brand-new mechanics here, and I think everyone will have a lot of fun with this set!
