My Little Pony CCG Update 2.3.0.3: Bug Fixes #1

Patch Notes 2.3.0.3

Changes

  • Added Transform 2 to the cost req system, now the game will ask if you want to pay the Transform cost instead
  • Fixed the meticulous system to handle Meticulous 2 properly
  • Fixed a bug which causes the “End your turn?” choice box to appear for the non active player if they pressed Tab
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to set a pause even when the game has not been started
  • Tidied the code a bit and closed off some potential loopholes
  • Added some debug messages to try and pinpoint the Tab bug (Don’t worry, you shouldn’t see these messages unless you break the game. Do send me the whole message and a small description of what you did if you see any of these messages!)

NOTE: Villain Challenge is BROKEN in this version. Please download this version of the game if you wish to play Villain Challenge. Instructions to install this version of the game can be found in the txt file included.

The previous post did not age well… Anyways, this is the first round of bug fixes, more might come if I can fix the remaining bugs. So far I have yet to find a solution to a bug that would prevent a player from using Tab to go to the next phase.

If you encounter that bug or any other bugs, please run the Octgn.LogExporter.exe at your OCTGN folder in Program Files and send the zip file to me through my email (gamemasterluna@gmail.com) or Discord. Please also state the date and time of when the bug occurred so I can sift through the logs faster.

My Little Pony CCG Update 2.3.0.2: New Phase System

Patch Notes 2.3.0.2

Changes

  • Added new phase system with phase pausing function
  • Fixed the red errors popping up when triggering the next phase without loading deck or setting it up (F12)
  • A new message to tell new players to load and setup their deck before they can start a turn
  • Fixed the meticulous system, now it shows only one card at a time and loops as many times as defined
  • Added Meticulous under Special Abilities menu so you can trigger it if you accidentally closed it (ALT+M)
  • Added Fire of Friendship into the color req system, all players need to do is to add a color token of their choosing onto the card and the play req will be reduced

The next update might take a while before it comes out as I will be experimenting with major features such as auto saving and loading the game state.

My Little Pony CCG Update 2.3.0.1: Sands of Time/Queen Chrysalis VC

Patch Notes 2.3.0.1

Changes

  • Added Sands of Time set
  • Added Queen Chrysalis challenge
  • Made problem cards on table look bigger
  • Fix invalid key binding for face off flip and flip card action

CTRL+F is now used for face off flips, previously it was F10
SHIFT+F7 is now used for flipping cards, previously it was F9

My Little Pony CCG Update 2.2.7.2: Limited Play

Patch Notes 2.2.7.2

Changes

  • Added the Limited format of MLPCCG into OCTGN

Although this update is quite small with only one update, it is still quite a big gamechanger. Anyways, I have created a new page with instructions on how to get started with Limited. Check it out!

Other than this, I’m planning to make multiplayer work on OCTGN, so stay tuned for that. And perhaps, I might try to include a fan-made format called “Villain Challenge”… Tell me if you guys want to see that happen!

My Little Pony CCG: Colour feature with minor fixes Now Live 2.2.7.1

Patch Notes 2.2.7.1

Changes

  • New Colour feature which allows you to add colours to cards (Will explain more below)
  • Fixed the issue of error codes appearing if you close the Token selection menu
  • Added the secret #00 card from Marks in Time

With the Colour feature, you can add a colour highlight onto your cards. It is useful for cards like Kevin which require the player to pick a colour. In order to access it, just right click the card you wish to apply the colour to and hover over the “Colours” tab. You would be able to pick any of the mane 6 colours or remove the colour on the card.

Do note that this feature will only give a card a single colour so cards that can be two colours at once like Queen Chrysalis, Changeling Pretender will only be able to represent one colour. I’ll be working on improving this feature with coloured counters instead of highlights in the future.

My Little Pony CCG: Major update with Marks in Time Now Live 2.2.7.0

Hey guys, I’m GameMasterLuna, one of the new personnel who is going to keep this game going. Some of you would know who I am but for those who don’t, I’m the guy who has been making unofficial updates to OCTGN and made the new Ponyhead to OCTGN converter. It is a great pleasure to finally make one of my latest update official and live on OCTGN for all of you to enjoy. Without further ado, let’s get into the updates!

Set Changes

  • Marks in Time Added – Cutie Mark Crusaders cutie markers… Yay?
  • High Magic and Equestrian Odysseys Updated – Changed multi-coloured friends, events and resources to use the new proxy generation

Misc Changes

  • New Proxy template for Multi-coloured cards and Dilemmas
  • New Token generation feature
  • Minor fixes to Problem cards

For those who were wondering what happened to V2.2.6.0, it was the update that added Equestrian Odysseys into OCTGN. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the new update and I’ll see you on OCTGN!

Set Changes

  • Missing Luna/Rarity Manes Added – Princess Luna – The Party’s Over (cn4) and Rarity – Mover and Shaker (cn8) are now correctly added.

Card Template Changes

  • Template Images at Least 20% Cooler – Massive change to the generation of automatic template images for cards. Abion47 undertook an incredible effort to hand-make templates for use in Magic Set Editor, and was so awesome that he shared his assets with us. His MSE plug-in also features the ability to export homemade sets into OCTGN format, allowing easy playtesting of any homebrew creations. Many thanks to his great talent and effort!

Gameplay Changes

  • Mark Card as Pumped (F8) – Now automatically pushes the Pump card to go behind other cards.
  • Inspired trigger will no longer count Inspired keywords on cards that are on the table but not in play (such as Inspired cards being used as Pumps).
