My Little Pony CCG Update 2.2.9.0: Seaquestria and Beyond

Patch Notes 2.2.9.0

Changes

  • Added Seaquestria and Beyond – Shoo Be Doo! Call Upon the Sea Ponies!
  • Added color counters to cards – Colors will now be in a form of counters instead of highlights
  • Added in Cutie Mark Highlights – This allows you to highlight Cutie Mark cards when they are cutie marked
  • Added a Duplicate function – For cards like Changeling Barricade, copies will have a green hue to signify it is a token copy
  • Added a Permanently Exhaust function – Use it only when the card is not exhausted, Permanently Exhausted cards will have a red hue and will not ready until you either double click it or select “Permanently Exhaust” under the card menu
  • Made the color req system calculate power counters – Any card that gains a power counter will be noticed by the system
  • Made the color req system to calculate color markers – Any card that gains a color will be noticed by the system
  • Made a popup for over hand limit, it will also take account of the flitter card that can increase hand limit by 2
  • Dilemmas now come into play exhausted and will stay exhausted
  • The AT/colour req system is not global anymore so if one player turns the system off, the other will still have the system running

My Little Pony CCG Update 2.2.8.1: Defenders of Equestria and more!

EDIT: I have just released a hotfix V2.2.8.101 which fixes the exhaust function back to normal. Thanks to Elaraiah for reporting this bug!

Changes

  • Added a fan-made format called Villain Challenge with both Nightmare Moon and king Sombra

Phew, that is a big list of features right there. That’s what I been doing these past few months and I couldn’t have done it without the help of the MLPCCG OCTGN Discord group which helped to test out these features, reported bugs and gave me feedback on improvements. Moving on to the update, the new Meticulous function acts like Inspired. If it detects any meticulous cards, it will prompt you the amount of meticulous you have and allow you to see X amount of your top cards where X is the amount of meticulous you specified. You can choose to place the card on top or bottom.

For the Automatic AT system, it calculates the cost of the card you are trying to play and compares it with your current ammount of AT. If you do not have enough AT, it will warn you but you can still play the card if you desire. The Color Requirement Checker captures every single faced-up friend and mane you own. It uses this to calculates the total power for each element you have on the table. With this, it can compare this data with the color requirement on the card you want to play and determine if you can play that card. Again, if you do not meet the color requirements, it will warn you but you can still play the card if you desire.

Sometimes, the automation might be annoying especially at the end of the game like if you want to show your opponent what card you could have played etc. Therefore, I added a on/off button which can be found when you right click your Hand area (Or if you like shortcuts, it’s CTRL+C). It’s called “Toggle Auto AT and Color Req Check”, clicking it will disable this feature and clicking it again will enable it. By default, this feature will be enabled. Any game reset will also reset it to the default setting.

Another request I got was to add a “Singleplayer” mode to OCTGN where players can create a solo game and cycle through their deck to see what they would draw and what hand they would get. In previous versions of the game, ending the turn while playing solo does nothing. Now, the game will pass the turn back to the solo player so he/she can start the turn and draw cards/AT etc.

For future updates, I have people suggesting me to add the Sisterhooves Social fan-made format into OCTGN. I will see what I can do about that. If you have any suggestions or improvements you want to see in OCTGN, just message me on the Discord group!

Known Issues

  • For the new Automatic AT and color checker system, I’m unable to mute the OCTGN message that will tell your opponent what card you tried to play, even if you pick the option of not playing the card.
  • For Sweetie Belle, Most Traditional, the only way to use her now is to look at your opponent top 2 cards then take control over their deck and discard pile to rearrange their cards or discard them to the discard pile. After you are done, the opponent will have to retake control over their deck and discard pile. I will be working on a function to make this process less tedious.

PS: You might be wondering why this is version 2.2.8.1 instead of 2.2.8.0. That’s because I released a preview build for testing which I accidentally named 2.2.8.0. So if I named this update as 2.2.8.0, those already on 2.2.8.0 will not automatically update to the newer version.

My Little Pony CCG Update 2.2.7.2: Limited Play

Changes

  • Added the Limited format of MLPCCG into OCTGN

Although this update is quite small with only one update, it is still quite a big gamechanger. Anyways, I have created a new page with instructions on how to get started with Limited. Check it out!

Other than this, I’m planning to make multiplayer work on OCTGN, so stay tuned for that. And perhaps, I might try to include a fan-made format called “Villain Challenge”… Tell me if you guys want to see that happen!

My Little Pony CCG: Colour feature with minor fixes Now Live 2.2.7.1

Patch Notes 2.2.7.1

Changes

  • New Colour feature which allows you to add colours to cards (Will explain more below)
  • Fixed the issue of error codes appearing if you close the Token selection menu
  • Added the secret #00 card from Marks in Time

With the Colour feature, you can add a colour highlight onto your cards. It is useful for cards like Kevin which require the player to pick a colour. In order to access it, just right click the card you wish to apply the colour to and hover over the “Colours” tab. You would be able to pick any of the mane 6 colours or remove the colour on the card.

Do note that this feature will only give a card a single colour so cards that can be two colours at once like Queen Chrysalis, Changeling Pretender will only be able to represent one colour. I’ll be working on improving this feature with coloured counters instead of highlights in the future.

My Little Pony CCG: Major update with Marks in Time Now Live 2.2.7.0

Hey guys, I’m GameMasterLuna, one of the new personnel who is going to keep this game going. Some of you would know who I am but for those who don’t, I’m the guy who has been making unofficial updates to OCTGN and made the new Ponyhead to OCTGN converter. It is a great pleasure to finally make one of my latest update official and live on OCTGN for all of you to enjoy. Without further ado, let’s get into the updates!

Set Changes

  • Marks in Time Added – Cutie Mark Crusaders cutie markers… Yay?
  • High Magic and Equestrian Odysseys Updated – Changed multi-coloured friends, events and resources to use the new proxy generation

Misc Changes

  • New Proxy template for Multi-coloured cards and Dilemmas
  • New Token generation feature
  • Minor fixes to Problem cards
